Default New Firmware and Stuck GPS

I experienced a problem with the MT-GL getting stuck reporting the same GPS data for a period of hours and found out that Enfora has released a new firmware version (0.7.8) that is expected to address the issue. I thought I would share this with the forum. The firmware is not yet at a production release, but is expected to be within several weeks. This version will also fix a number of other problems. From the release notes that they sent to me:

The following are features were added:

• Added battery level reporting via event engine.
• Added logic so $iodac? reports correctly when device is first powered up.
• Added support for new memory.
• Added client session during server session.
• Added +cgdcont > 1 support.
• Added caller ID event.
• Added $GPVTG NMEA.
• Added Automatic PIC reset

Problems fixed:

• Fixed problem where SMS concatenated $reset produced multiple resets.
• Fixed time problems in NMEA sentences.
• Fixed AT&T update to operator list.
• Fixed unexpected +CMTI after PAD or DUN disconnect.
• Fixed TCPAPI 1 byte packet issue.
• Fixed TCPAPI OTA concatenated message issue.
• Fixed RTC time reporting issue.
• Fixed called ID inhibit issue.
• Fixed input event counter not correct on reset.
• Fixed GPS lock behavior on GPIO 5 toggle.
• Fixed GPIO 1 initialization.
• Fixed $GPSRST issue.
• Fixed $msglogrd stuck causing messages not being sent
• Fixed NETMON ping issue which can prevent NETMON reset from functioning
• Fixed Copernicus and modem losing communication.
• Fixed Bit 19 in PARAM2 - GPS Last Known Behavior has changed since 102MT7
• Fixed Potential memory leak for ppp_tcp_pad_ind TX error
• Fixed Ping issue causing a memory leak
• Fixed Stuck GPS packets
• Fixed DNS lookup issue causing memory queue filled up
• Fixed GPS times often lagging expected time.
• Implemented check and recovery for abnormal network condition with incomplete SI
information preventing modem access to network
• Fixed Odometer Not Resetting
• Fixed issue where NETMON thinks modem is in a call when it is not
• Fixed event 27 to synchronize to $iodac command.

AT command changes:

• Added new command to select quality of GPS lock.
• Added command to set GPS restart interval.
