Product = Enfora MT-ul GSM 2238-01

I first tried with the following events to send the ignition messages:

AT$EVENT=7,0,7,0,0
AT$EVENT=7,3,40,65,4350 (65=IG OFF= is the uniqueID for our service)
AT$event=8,0,7,1,1
AT$EVENT=8,3,40,70,4350 (70=IGG ON=unique id for our service)

I was only getting the Ignition OFF messages and a few times I did get the Igniotn ON message (but it was really sporadic), I am not sure what caused it.

Any ideas would be apprecaited, I am interested to hear how other have done this or what I might be doing wrong?

We are using basically that same configuration and getting pretty good results. The only difference is the we are using output event 41, UDP w/ack. Of course you server would have to send the ack for this to work properly.

Are you setting an ignition debounce value? I have actually heard that doing so can cause problems.

Hmm. I have been trying the method above and I have not had a lot of success, how do you check for ignition debounce value?

Also I spoke with someone at Enfora and they stated that ignition ON was not implemented with the mt-ul models and that I had to send the message, on a modem power up indication, input event 8

So it would look something like

at$event=7,0,8,1,1
at$event=7,3,40,65,4350

Ignition debounce can be checked with AT$IGNDBNC? or AT&V

The MTuL definitely supports ignition on, but maybe not in early firmware??

What package do you have? ( check with AT$PKG? )
