probably there is a siemens module inside, because of the gprs class 12. Siemens is one of the few who provide class 12 in gprs

Yes we've confirmed that there's a TC65 sitting inside the CalAmp LMU 1000. I've also heard there's a CDMA version of the box as well (w/ Kyocera module).

I believe the Telit modules are class 12 enabled as well. Actually, not all of them are but I do know for a fact that the UC864-G is.

I see, but the UC864-G is a HSDPA module, probably with a chipset of qualcomm, which all support GPRS class 12.
So this is not a good comparising, because the Siemens TC65 is only a GPRS module.
